Academic Calendar

The academic year is divided into two semesters, autumn and spring. Each semester contains from 12 to 15 weeks of lectures (this varies from faculty to faculty) followed by a six to eight week examination period. The preparatory year before admission to MU with Czech language intensive courses has its own schedules.

There are no regular university classes in the summer.

Autumn Semester	2011 – 2012
Orientation week:	8 – 14 September 2011
Classes:	from 15 September 2011
Examination period:	5 January – 13 February 2012

Spring semester	2011 – 2012
Orientation week:	2 – 8 February 2012
Classes:	from 16 February 2012
Examination period:	25 May – 23 July 2012
