University measures taken regarding COVID-19
- MU is operating following the university traffic-light system. The risk assessment level is currently WHITE. It is not compulsory to wear respirators in all MU buildings.
- All covid-19 policies related to entering the country have been suspended. See also current restrictions in the Czech Republic.

MU is operating following the university traffic-light system. The university currently has a “WHITE LIGHT” rating, determined by the MU Crisis Board. University faculties, institutes, and offices may declare a higher alert level than the university-wide level or introduce stricter rules than elsewhere at the university. Follow the websites of individual faculties and the colour-coded signs hanging on the exteriors of MU buildings.

ISAB members recognised MU activities
Following the example of other world universities, Masaryk University has established its own International Scientific Advisory Board (ISAB). The body of international scientific advisors increases the prestige of the university and brings a much-needed outside perspective.

New MU Rector will be elected in April
At its 267th meeting, the Academic Senate of Masaryk University announced the date of the election of the new MU Rector. The secret ballot to elect the winning candidate will take place on Monday 3 April.

MU conducted evaluation of research and PhD programmes
Masaryk University has performed a comprehensive internal evaluation of its research and PhD programmes in order to ensure the highest quality of studies. The evaluation was based on an informed peer review system, which will also become a pillar of MU self-evaluation in the future.

MU students arrive in the USA for the Winter Universiade
The Czech university team has arrived in Lake Placid for the Winter World University Games. A total of 93 Czech student-athletes will compete in 12 winter sports from 12 to 22 January. Nine of them study at Masaryk University.
