Clothes swap at ECON MUNI

Do you have things in your closet that you don't wear anymore and you don't know what to do with them? Do you want to support the idea of sustainability and not buy new clothes all the time? Come and exchange your clothes for other clothes on 9 May from 10:00-16:00 at ECON MUNI.

Sort through clean and preserved pieces and either bring them ahead of time during Thursday, May 4, 2023 to the OVV office on the 2nd floor, or bring them straight to the swap on the morning of Tuesday, May 9, 2023.

We look forward to seeing you and your models!

How does it work?

♻️ What is a swap? ♻️
SWAP is an opportunity to donate clothes that you don't use and no longer enjoy. At the same time, you can find clothes that have been sorted by someone else and make yourself and others happy.

♻️ How does it work? ♻️
If you have clothes at home (preserved, clean or even new) that you don't wear for various reasons, bring them for exchange. It will surely find a new owner who will be satisfied.
We will only swap undamaged and clean items, so please sort thoroughly. Bring up to 10 pieces!

What do we swap and what don't we swap?
We can change clothes for everyone - regardless of gender or age, study programme or faculty. As stated above, SWAP does not include damaged, destroyed or worn out pieces. Also, do not wear underwear or costume jewelry to SWAP. Any remaining clothing will be donated to charity. The swap will include a voluntary collection for charity.

The seasoned principles of a swapper

  • He/She know that local direct exchange is the most environmentally friendly and efficient way to source things.
  • He/She only wears things he'd like to give to a friend
  • His/Her intention is to make others happy and get rid of things in a meaningful way.
  • He/She'll take from the exchange things that please him/her.
  • He/She's considerate of others.
  • He/She puts things back in place.
  • He/She is not ashamed to offer refreshments to others!

Donate to Milánek's rehabilitation

No description

As part of the ECON MUNI swap on May 9, we are announcing a voluntary fundraising to help the family of 5-year-old Milánek. Milánek is the son of ECON MUNI graduate Markéta Řezáčová (formerly Václavová). He was born completely healthy, but due to a genetic disposition passed down in the family, he developed spinal muscular atrophy. He is a cheerful active boy, but he is dependent on a wheelchair, expensive treatment and challenging neurorehabilitation. Milánek has to exercise daily, unfortunately the treatment is not covered by health insurance.

If you would like to contribute to Milánek's rehabilitation, you can donate in the chillroom to the cash box that will be installed throughout the swap, i.e. on 9 May from 10 am to 4 pm. You can also donate directly to the family's account at the Život dětem foundation: VS 3737, account number 83297339/0800

Find out more about spinal muscular atrophy and a preventive genetic test that can detect the risk early here (only in Czech).
