Czech President appoints Martin Bareš MU Rector for next four years
On the proposal of the Academic Senate of Masaryk University, President Petr Pavel appointed last week the current rector, Martin Bareš, rector of Masaryk University for the next four years. Bareš’s second term of office begins on 1 September 2023 and will last until 31 August 2027.

MU manages highest budget in history this year
At its meeting on 15 May, the Academic Senate unanimously approved a budget of CZK 10 billion for Masaryk University for 2023. The budget is 490 million higher than in 2022, making it the highest in the history of MU.
