Research Office Is Fully Operational
Dear Subscribers,
Despite the closure of the MU Rectorate building under the circumstances around the COVID-19 pandemic, all Research Office employees are accessible via phone and e-mail: contacts. Individual project agendas are therefore fully secured and all economic centers will be informed of further developments as soon as the situation permits.
At this point, it is not possible to estimate how long the restrictive measures will last, so the impact on project implementation cannot be predicted now (neither possible solutions - change requests, project extensions).
Therefore, please contact the MU Research Office if necessary and do not contact the provider individually. The University will thus be able to act in a uniform way.
Similarly, for projects under GAMU - after calming the situation and returning to a slightly more stable regime, we will try to accommodate as much as possible within the limits allowed by the rules of the use of institutional support or support for specific research. Up-to-date GAMU information will be posted on the GAMU website.

GAMU H - Final Conference
On February 24, the final conference of the Grant Agency of the Masaryk University was held, focusing on completed projects in the Category H - Individual High Risk High Gain Projects.
Doc. Ivan Foletti, MA, Docteur es Lettres, presented his project entitled Transforming the Spaces and the Minds. Late Antique (4th – 6th century) Baptismal Zone.
Doc. MUDr. Mgr. Marek Mráz presented his project called Coding and Non-coding RNA Networks that Regulate B Cell Receptor Signaling: Implications for Combinatorial Therapy.
Discussions with the principal investigators followed. Both of them highlighted the flexibility provided by GAMU towards their research, contributing in one case to obtaining an ERC Grant (Marek Mráz) and in one case to receiving grade A when applying for an ERC Grant (Ivan Foletti). The objectives of H Category were thus fully met. GAMU thanks the researchers for their excellent cooperation and appreciates their results.
