Norbert Werner Is the New MUNI Award Holder
Astrophysicist Norbert Werner has become the third grant holder of MUNI Award in Science and Humanities (MASH). After eight years at Stanford University in the United States, he moved to Loránd Eötvös University in Budapest, Hungary. He is also giving lectures in Hiroshima, Japan. He will relocate to Masaryk University with his research beginning of July. As an expert on the behaviour of black holes or intergalactic gas in Brno, Werner wants to cooperate, among other things, with companies that deal with the development of small satellites. Congratulations!

The aim of the MUNI Award grant is to bring new excellent and successful scientists to MU, to whom we offer excellent conditions to produce top scientific results. In the past, the grant was received by Daniel Kráľ, the world's leading expert in graph theory who came to MU from the University of Warwick, and by Matthew Rampley, the world´s leading expert in the art history who came from the University of Birmingham.

- On April 8th, the 1st call has been announced in IMPAKT 1 programme. Deadline is on May 25th. Programme aims at R&D institutions in order to support international cooperation.

TA CR – M-ERA.NET 2 (Cofund Call)
- On March 17th, the 3rd Call has been announced in the M-ERA.NET programme. The programme focuses on international cooperation in materials science and engineering in applied research.

- On May 13th, the 2nd Call has been announced in the DELTA 2 programme. The programme focuses on international cooperation in applied research.

- On April 20th, the 1st Call has been announced in the PED programme. The programme focuses on international cooperation and networking.

GA CR – LA grants CEUS (international projects evaluated on the Lead agency principle, with GA CR in the role of Partner organization), ongoing FWF Call – cooperation with Austria
- On February 22nd, the LA grants CEUS Call 2021 has been announced. The Call aims to support international cooperation in basic research and is opened to applicants at any stage of their career.

GA CR – Urgent Funding SARS-COV-2
- On April 6th, the Urgent Funding SARS-COV-2 has been announced. The Call aims at international cooperation with a direct reference to the current SARS-CoV-2 pandemic.

MEYS – Mobility
- Call for proposals for support of joint Czech-Austrian research projects. Deadline for submission of project proposals - 5th June (extended), the full text of this call, further information on the website of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports.

TA CR – BiodivClim (ERA-NET Co-fund)
The 2nd step submission for full-proposals of BiodivClim Call was closed. MU submitted 2 project proposals. The results of this international Call will be announced in November/December 2020.
GA CR – standard projects, international projects, EXPRO, JUNIOR STAR, LA - CEUS (GA CR in the role of Lead Agency)
The Calls of standard projects, international projects, EXPRO, JUNIOR STAR, LA – CEUS (GA CR in the role of Lead Agency were closed. MU submitted 348 project proposals (EXPRO – 24, JUNIOR STAR – 28, standard projects – 277, international projects – 10, LA grants – 9 project proposals). The Call results will be announced in November/December 2020.
TA CR – AquaticPollutants (ERA-NET Co-fund)
The Call of AquaticPollutants was closed. MU submitted 1 project proposal. The results of pre-proposals will be announced in June 2020.
