GAMU - MUNI Scientist

Prof. Šárka Pospíšilová, the vice-rector for research and doctoral studies, awarded researchers for top results and significant achievements in research. The MUNI Scientist 2021 award ceremony took place in November in the refectory of the Mendel Museum. Thirty-seven scientists and their scientific teams across faculties, institutes and research centres received the award.

Vice-rector's award for excellent results in doctoral studies

The new award was given by the vice-rector for research and doctoral studies Šárka Pospíšilová to 40 graduates and their supervisors from 9 MU faculties. The awards were selected based on their successful completion of doctoral studies in a standard period of 4 years, extended by a maximum of one year and at the same time for high-quality research results included in the dissertation and excellent publishing activity. The award is new and vice-rector Pospíšilová plans to award successful doctoral students and their supervisors every year.

Career Restart - Results

To create conditions for the integration of researchers after the interruption of their careers into research teams at Masaryk University. This is the goal of the Career Restart grant, which is running for the second year this year. Ten scientists from various MU departments succeeded in the evaluation, and they will start solving projects from the New Year. Congratulations to all the winners!

ESFRI Roadmap 2021

Αfter a two-year-long process of hard and meticulous work by a great number of scientists and ESFRI delegates, a new ESFRI Roadmap 2021 was published. There are 11 new projects on the Roadmap including 2 with Masaryk University involvement – EIRENE (coordinated by Jana Klánová from SCI/RECETOX) and GGP – Generations and Gender Programme (Martin Kreild from FSS is head of the Czech node).
