Description The monograph focuses on the control mechanisms of the international human rights protection and the possibilities of their future development. Regarding its content it covers two mutually related topics. Firstly, different international mechanisms for human rights protection are characterized. Secondly, it focuses its attention on the possibility of creating a new judicial institution which is named a World Court of Human Rights. The work thus initially discusses the regional human rights systems in Europe, America and Africa, and afterwards analyzes the current control mechanisms on the universal level. These are the Universal Periodic Review within the UN, and above all the system of treaty bodies created by several international treaties, which, however, does not reach the required effectiveness. Based on the experiences from the different systems, various forms of the possible World Court of Human Rights are being discussed, which could be established in the future in order to enhance the actual impact of norms contained in human rights treaties on the universal level.
