Description | The aim of this paper is to present a method called Data-driven learning (DDL) and to introduce its possible use in teaching Czech as a foreign language. This method connects language teaching with corpus linguistics and brings a lively and authentic language into the classroom. Two main fields are described: 1. Creating corpus-based teaching materials (e.g. collocations, model sentences), 2. The tasks and questions which can be asked in direct use of corpus inteface. The exploitation of Czech National Corpus tools will be mentioned as well as the solution of possible problems in application DDL into teaching Czech language. |
