Description The chapter explores the issue of self-esteem of pupils with specific learning difficulties in Russian language lessons at the upper elementary school level. The goal of research was to find out whether the pupils, who have been diagnosed with some type of specific learning difficulties and integrated into mainstream primary schools have lower self-esteem in comparison to other classmates and children of their age in Russian language lessons. The research study was conducted in 2012/2013 as a part of a doctoral research project and the research project MSM0021622443 Special Needs of Pupils in the Context of the Framework Educational Programme for Basic Education.
