| Description | This contribution discusses topical circumscriptions on treatments of the history of Russia and the USSR in effect in the Czechoslovak-Soviet institute ČSAV during the normalization period. Using historians’ works as an example, it reflects the manner and possibilities for interpreting the history of the “Eastern Empire.” The author poses the question of whether, and to what extent we can consider these works as possessing value today. |
