Description | This paper aims to examine the position of the Senate of the Parliament in the political system of the Czech Republic by using quantitative tools. The author comes up with a theoretical justification for existence of the Czech upper chamber of the Parliament based on application of the theories of the upper chambers in Czech conditions. A performance of the role by which the existence of the Senate is actually legitimized is then examined using the above-mentioned quantitative analysis. |
