Description Aim: The aim of study was to verify the Czech version of Photographic Wound Assessment Tool (PWAT) scale in the Czech context during wound assessment from wound photography and to determine inter-rater reliability of the scale. Methods: The research is a part of a prospective intervention study conducted in elderly in home care agencies from January 2017 till February 2018. The sample consisted of 40 elderly with non-healing wound of different etiology. Assessment of wound healing based on wound photography was done with the use of Czech version of PWAT scale. In order to determine the inter-rater reliability, 20 randomly selected pictures of wound were assessed by two independent raters. Results: Agreement between the first and the second rater has been found in 70% of pictures. Based on Kappa coeficient = 0.6765 it can be observed that there is substantial agreement between both raters. Conclusion: The Czech version of PWAT scale proved good inter-rater reliability and can be used for objective wound assessment of wound photography.
