| Description | Multiple Organ Dysfunction Syndrome (MODS) is common in intensive care patients and is associated with high mortality. This is not a specific nosological unit, but a consequence of the progression of various diseases and stroke. The basis of MODS is potentially reversible dysfunction / failure of the organ, for which we do not currently have causal treatment, but only the so-called organ supportive treatment, which, if started early, gives patients the opportunity to recover. |
