| Description | The fate of Nodier’s works within the Bohemian lands cannot be apprehended without touching on the political and cultural contexts that characterized this territory. At the crossroads of history and literature, of synchronic and diachronic approaches, the perspective chosen for this study paints the complex but rich picture of the Czech reception of Charles Nodier's work and testifies, between literary Francophilia and translations, to its enduring appeals since the nineteenth century. |
