| Description | The aim of the article is not only to familiarize the reader with the issue of the general relationship between Buddhism and sexuality or gender but also to correct, at least partially, the exclusively positive narrative about Buddhism. The presented text also introduces one of the traditions – Tibetan Buddhism – and explores both its relationship to the LGBTQ+ community and the attitudes of exiled Tibetans, led by the Dalai Lama, who promote the aforementioned idealized conception of Buddhism. |
