Description However much technology changes the way translators and interpreters work, and it affects the labour market, it is still true that for high-quality translation and interpretation, it is necessary to involve a person with unique abilities, who must also have an excellent command of the given languages. Therefore, the training of specialists who have an excellent command of different languages and are trained in translation and interpretation still makes sense, especially when it comes to translation between "smaller" languages and taking into account the type of text to be translated and its purpose. We know that the involvement of technology in the work of interpreters and translators greatly facilitates their work. But can they also be used in studying and learning a language? How? This paper explores some of the possibilities of using technology to teach and learn foreign languages. In addition to various e-learning exercises, CAT, NMT, and AI technologies can be used to teach a foreign language. How can they help acquire and expand vocabulary? How can they help learn the logic of a foreign language? Can the principles by which technologies work be used in language acquisition?
