Description | This report is the analysis of a so far unknown source of the Brno Police Directorate to the records of inhabitants. For the evaluation of the so-called protocols of factory and wage labour force the author has purposely selected the period prior to and after the abolition of subjugation, i.e. the years from 1847 to 1849, so as a possible impact of this significant milestone could manifest itself. The basic analytical criterion was the origin of the recorded persons, as well as their profession or status, age, sex, etc. Having used the examples of persons that were excluded from the protocols, the author has documented her initially presented hypothesis of reasons for these vast police records. |
