Description Possible world is supposed to be a set of propositions. Impossible possible world is then that possible world which is inconsistent, i.e., it consists of logically excluding propositions. Maternas question whether one possible world can contain different (parallel) physical worlds (universes) have to be (from the viewpoint of logical possibility) answered positively, if those different worlds does not contain same individuals and if every such world contains facts which are not negated in any nearby world. In other words, such a possible world containing parallel worlds need not be impossible
