Description | In a history there was always only a few artists that saw close connection between art and science. One of them was Greek architect, musical composer and musical theoretician Iannis Xenakis. According to him probabilistic phenomenons (which are everywhere) can be mathematicaly modelled as statistic laws of transition from stage of complete orderliness to complete disorder. Generality of these phenomenons enables transference from one sphere to another sphere. Thanks giving to these ideas precise mathematical formulation in the book Formalized Music, Xenakis became known far and away the borders of musical arts. |
