Description Acute myeloblastic leukemia (AML) is a malignant disease of the bone marrow that may often manifest in the oral cavity as gingival hyperplasia or other mucosal alterations, most frequently in a form of ulceration and increased bleeding. Therefore, based on the clinical finding and differential diagnostic assessment, a general dentist can be the first to express a suspicion. This case report describes a 63-year-old female in whom AML manifested as gingival enlargement prior to alteration of the general state.
