Klíčová slova | Caffeine -A2 adenosine receptor agonist CGS1680 - agonistic behaviour in mice |
Popis | Acute caffeine doses (25 and 75 mg/kg) significantly and selectively increased aggressivity while CGS21680 (0.1 and 0.5 mg/kg) markedly inhibited aggressive acts and increased defensive-escape behaviour. Repeated administration treatment with caffeine (25 mg/kg given twice daily for 14 days) inhibited significantly both aggressivity and locomotion, and increased defensive-escape behaviour. Fifteen doses of CGS 21680 (0.1 mg/kg once a day) inhibited significantly both aggressivity and locomotion, too, without any other behavioural changes. Neither caffeine nor CGS21680 repeated treatment ending elicited withdrawal signs. Furthermore, CGS21680 repeated administration effects lasted still on the 4th day of withdrawal. |
