| Popis | Forensic research using information gained from the interviews with offenders is always complicated and entails many problems. These problems stems from the interaction with the offender and the prison environment. However, many of these issues can be predicted and controlled. The type of research, which uses offenders as respondents, can be encountered quite often. However, research using released offenders is much rarer and its implementation includes many problems and unique situations. In this presentation we compare the advantages and disadvantages of research with both imprisoned and released offenders. We concentrate especially on such issues as sampling, rewards, motivation of the respondents, ethics, security of data, etc. Our goal is to offer our experiences with both types of research to future researchers. |
