| Popis | Beyond the various branches in which textual criticism has developed (and sometimes split) with the progress of the studies, we want to insist here on a unitary and global view of philology as a historical science that studies the journey of the text taking into account, on one hand, the most purely textual criticism concerning both the "history of the text" (meaning by this phrase a broad concept of "history of tradition" which, starting from sources and models, through questions of genesis / evolution, reaches the problems of history the tradition itself) and the problems of ecdotics, on the other, the hermeneutical difficulties to which the text undergoes as it moves away from the historical and cultural context in which it was conceived.
