| Popis | Correction of the refractive errors is the most common application field for soft contact lenses. The usage of contact lenses has therapeutic potential also in the case of some corneal defects. Another prevalent utilization is in the cosmetic industry. In Czech Republic contact lenses are freely accessible without the need of having the prescription from eye care specialist. As a result there are numerous wearers without the proper care and guidance of the contactologist. Therefore they are at greater risk of eye damage due to incorrect choice of lens type, improper handling or late detection of potential lens-related eye disease. This study deals with the sanitary and lens maintenance habits of the soft contact lens wearers by means of the anonymous questionnaire. |
