Popis | We collected data from the Czech (n=175) and Indian (n=399) participants and conducted principal component analysis on the datasets. The Cronbach's alpha reliability statistics were found to be .90 and .82 for the Czech and Indian samples respectively and matching the international standards. As far as the factor solution is concerned, a total variance of 64.26% was explained by the Czech sample for a three factor principal component solution with significant cross loadings of scale items of social contribution, social integration, positive relations with others, personal relations, autonomy and purpose in life on hedonic well-being dimension. On the other hand, a total variance of 48.99% was explained by the Indian dataset for a three factor principal component solution whereby significant cross loadings of social contribution, environmental mastery and purpose in life items were seen on hedonic well-being dimension. We also report apparent harmonies, divergences and deviations in both the datasets. |
