| Popis | Drawing on personal experience acquired while undertaking my dissertation project, in this poster I will outline some of the most significant challenges a linguist researching digital discourse needs to confront. As in my dissertation project I explore the construction and performance of the ‘influencer’ identity on Instagram, these challenges primarily concern the processes of data collection and data annotation as well as ethical considerations and the development of a methodology viable for studying multimodal digital data. |
