Klíčová slova cultural and translation studies; comparative literature
Popis Training readers of literary works in translation: this seems to be an indispensable task today (CHEVREL, 2006: 57). Yves Chevrel’s formula, which is both a conclusion and an opening, invites us to reconsider the status of translation, which is less "defective" than is often supposed and aims to integrate the translation studies into our teaching practices. Perhaps in this way, the preferred vector will be comparative studies. Comparative literature is still a relatively recent discipline, but it has been able to win over the academic circles because, apart from any specificity (even if one is always more or less specialist in something), it allows both diachronic and synchronic questioning. on the meaning of national literature with regard to world literature, a bias which enabled him to integrate very early the not yet autonomous field of translation studies. The following article thus provides an overview of current research on the reading and study of translations into comparative literature courses intended for a French- speaking audience. It aims to assess the possibilities of transposing this teaching into French studies in Central Europe.
