| Popis | The article deals with one of the largest pandemic diseases in the history of manking – the plague or the Black Death. Medical point of view is the basis of the introductory part of paper. Main part deals with types of plague disease as well as treatment and its development, together with medieval view of death and the nature of funeral rituals during this period. The next part of paper is dedicated to historiography of the plague. Main attention is given to the explanation of spread of the disease with the example of the invasion in the Middle Ages, when the plague came to Europe and spread to the almost whole continent. This part is ended with the situation and development in Bohemia and Moravia. The last part is devoted to everyday life during the plague finished with the view on religion in the times of plague. |
