| Popis | Russian aggression against Ukraine has caused extreme volatility in the price of gas. In order to combat the price increase, various state aid measures have been enacted, allowing for a massive subsidy to the economy and consumers. Member States have made generous use of this possibility and introduced various programmes. The scale and flexibility of the notified aid is similar to the management of the Covid pandemic. The scale of support jeopardises the level-playing field and is difficult to finance in the long term. |
