Popis | The AIART 7/2023 publication presents seven key contributions to the field of artificial intelligence art in 2023 from the perspective of Tomáš Marušiak, whose central artistic-research interest is the aesthetics of AI. The selection of contributions was not guided by any strict methodology, although the presence of the author's main areas of interest, such as artistic research or the vision of artificial consciousness, is noticeably present. The texts are written with the aim of popularizing the subject area and at the same time form the content core of the homonymous podcasts, which are scheduled for release in 2024. The first is the A.I.C.C.A. project by M. Klingemann, which opens up a discussion on non-human aesthetic evaluation. The Glacier Dreams project by R. Andol identifies investment interest in the implementation of artistic research in the field of AIART. The Future Teams (Ars Electronica) vision outlines the possibilities of team collaboration between non-human entities. The recommendation of the publications The Perception Machine by J. Zylinska and Unmasking AI by Joy Buolamwini opens up a discourse on the possibilities of penetration of artistic research in theoretical-research activities. The neuroscientific proof of the possibility of reconstructing natural language through cortical activity through AI systems has the potential to impact the clarification of the perception of human but also non-human aesthetic experiences. Google Gemini and the opening of the discourse on artificial consciousness in AI systems closes this selection. |
