Popis | In the rapidly evolving landscape of technology, a vision is foreseen where humans, physical devices and digital systems form dynamic and unpredictable ecosystems constantly adapting to ever-changing conditions, represented e.g. by smart mobility solutions. The members of such ecosystems not only interact with each other but might start forming societies on their own to collectively solve complex tasks. However, as these ecosystems grow in complexity and relevance in our daily lives, ensuring their safe operation and sustainability has become a critical challenge. This underscores the need for trust together with effective governance model on the ecosystem level that would ensure its proper functioning. Besides that, the governance model should also promote compliance of its members with agreed-upon rules, and ethical considerations such as fairness or solidarity. Otherwise, there is a risk of unethical practices, favoritism, or actions that harm both the members and the ecosystem as a whole. However, there is currently very little understanding on how such trust-based governance of smart ecosystems should look like. In this poster, we present a foundational vision for a governance model based on trust, identifying key concepts and mechanisms. By integrating trust management into the governance of smart dynamic ecosystems, the envisioned governance model aligns with the broader objective of fostering a resilient and sustainable digital future. Trust, as a fundamental element, plays the key role in establishing self-regulatory mechanisms ensuring safety and wellbeing of the ecosystem. Besides that, incorporating ethics and consideration of social values into the governance model promotes a multi-disciplinary and holistic understanding necessary for building robust smart dynamic systems. |
