Professor Dirk G. Inzé, an internationally acclaimed scientist in the field of plant biology and a distinguished member, later becoming the head of the International Scientific Advisory Board (ISAB) at CEITEC MU, played a pivotal role in co-creating the standards of science and related activities at CEITEC MU. His involvement with ISAB not only impacted plant research within the institution but also significantly influenced the overall scientific direction of the Institute. He contributed to the peer review evaluation and strategic planning, shaping the Institute's future. His advocacy for shared best practices has set a benchmark for excellence in science at MUNI, reflecting Prof. Inzé's significant influence across the entire university.

A proposal to grant an honorary degree of Doctor Honoris Causa in the field of Biological Sciences was submitted by the Central European Institute of Technology of Masaryk University. The graduation ceremony was held on 27 March 2025.
