The Dean of the Faculty of Medicine of Masaryk University appoints a selection procedure for the position
Assistant Professor of the Department of Pharmacology of the Faculty of Medicine MU
(with shorter working hours of 8 to 20 hours per week)
The Department of Pharmacology is an educational and research institute of the Faculty of Medicine of MU, which focuses on a wide range of pharmacology, especially on drug biotransformation, behavioural neuropsychopharmacology, pharmacoeconomics, personalised pharmacotherapy in oncology and clinical trials. It provides theoretical and applied pharmacology teaching for undergraduate and postgraduate medical and non-medical students.

The workplace: Brno, the Czech Republic
The scope of your work will be:
- participation in teaching at the department focusing on basic, applied and clinical pharmacology
- preparation of the study and teaching materials
- membership in commissions for state final examinations
- participation in the education of students in doctoral study programs
- independent research and development activities, including the publication and presentation of research results
- share in the organizational provision of research and pedagogical activities, incl. related administration
Required qualification:
- Completed university education in the medical field (with the title MD) or natural science discipline, or equivalent education attained abroad
- Completed education in a doctoral study program or specialized qualification according to Act No. 95/2004 Coll. (doctors, dentists and pharmacists), or Act No. 96/2004 Coll. (non-medical health professions)
- Professional experience in the given field,
- teaching experience of at least 5 years
- Capability of independent professional and research work including publishing activities
- Capability to actively participate at an international conference or professional seminar
- Fluent English (spoken and written)
- Fluent Czech (spoken and written)
- Active approach, initiative and willingness for further education
- Moral integrity
