Applicants for study at MU in foreign language study programmes
In 2021, for the first time, a survey targeting applicants to foreign language study programmes was conducted alongside the main survey among applicants to Czech study programmes. All applicants to study programmes taught in a foreign language for the academic year 2021/2022 (i.e. Bachelor's, pregraduate and postgraduate Master's, Doctoral and Lifelong Learning) were asked to complete the questionnaire. In 2022, a second round of this survey was conducted for applicants to Bachelor's and pregraduate and postgraduate Master's programmes in the academic year 2022/2023.
The selected questions of this survey are identical to the survey for Czech degree programmes, allowing for a comparison of attitudes between the target groups.
Impact of the covid-19 pandemic on studies
In 2021, the pandemic situation related to the spread of the Covid-19 disease, which began in spring 2020, continued. Efforts to mitigate the extent of the pandemic were related to both restrictions on the university teaching field and restrictions faced by applicants entering MU. The Strategy Office reflected all of the measures and the emergency nature of the situation by incorporating specific questions into the institutional surveys to ensure direct feedback from students, alumni, and applicants.

- Awareness and availability of information, evaluation of existing information channels
- Impression about selected areas of teaching and research at MU
- Recommendations for MU as an employer and partner
Longitudinal survey On the Path of Study
The unique longitudinal survey "On the Path of Study", which has systematically mapped the study journeys of one generation of MU students since 2017, ended with the 7th wave of the project. The research focused on exploring the factors and conditions that shape the personalities of today's university students, looking at strategies for progressing through higher education, what choices students make, what needs they have at different stages of their studies and what influences them in their pathways to future careers.
