Compatriots Scholarship

The Compatriots‘ scholarship fund is designed to help and encourage students to study in their ancestors' country. Masaryk University offers financial support of up to 100,000 CZK (circa 4,100 EUR) per year to students with Czech roots or with Czech ancestors newly enrolled in bachelor's and master's full-time programmes. The maximum number of students supported is 10.

  • The scholarship is awarded only to students officially enrolled in the abovementioned programmes.
  • Only students of BA and MA programmes may apply for this scholarship.

However, payments are always paid under the following conditions: the student must fulfil the study programme conditions and be still enrolled at MU at the time of the payment:
    • The first payment should be paid within the first month of the Autumn semester (after the student opens a bank account in the Czech Republic and uploads the account details into the IS system).
