What will you learn?
If you like working with children, if you are able to empathize, if you are creative, and if you desire to develop and improve yourself – become a teacher. If you have general knowledge and tend to do diverse and original activities, become a teacher at the first stage of the elementary school. Teachers cannot see more work get done than just there!
At the Faculty of Education of Masaryk University, you gain necessary knowledge and skills to help pupils of the 1st – 5th grade master fundamentals in all areas of school education. At the same time, you will have enough opportunities to develop your own personality.“Bring your children a joy of getting to know the world around them.”
The advantage of the study programme Teacher Training for the First Stage of Elementary Schools is that it is a one-stage five-year master’s study programme. Besides social and natural science subjects, the substantial part includes study of education. Practical training is included in each of the ten semesters. An integral part of study is legwork teaching and courses.
Moreover, you can experience studying abroad during your studies (e.g. in Estonia, Netherlands, Poland, Austria, Spain, Great Britain). Not only can you stay and study at different universities, but you can also get practical experience during an internship for one year. Foreign experience can be gained in this country as well, since foreign students are involved in everyday teaching, and we offer subjects taught in English.
Do you like the diversity? Do you have general knowledge? Are you keen on getting to know the world around and make your pupils be motivated by the same desire? So, do not hesitate and submit your application. You will not find a more interesting study programme.
Practical training
An important part of studies is practical training that takes part in each semester. Five practical training courses take place in Brno schools and you can choose the other five at any elementary school. The content of practical training is arranged in parallel with the pedagogical-psychological and subject didactics subjects.
