Current epidemic situation in Czech Republic will affect teaching before Christmas
As of Friday 18 December, the Czech Republic will move from the third to the fourth level of the governmental anti-epidemic system PES. Although the Masaryk University traffic-light system remains at the yellow light risk rating, some government measures will affect MU operation.
The government cancels the work duty of students with effect from Wednesday 16 December. The government also decided to limit the operation of universities with effect from 21 to 23 December – in these days, in-person classes and examination with more than 10 people won’t be allowed.
Exceptions include participation in clinical and practical teaching and internships of students of general medicine, dentistry, pharmacy and other medical programmes. Practical pedagogical internships in kindergartens or at school facilities will be allowed as well.
Internships outside MU will be permitted as well as laboratory, experimental, and art classes for final-year students in bachelor’s and master’s programmes. The maximum class size will be 20 people. Individual consultation will be permitted as well as in-person teaching for doctoral students.
