Masaryk University modified the green traffic light setting

Based on the new measures announced by the Government regarding the Covid-19 epidemic, the Crisis Board of Masaryk University decided to modify the green light setting of the university’s traffic light scheme. New measures have been in force since Monday 1 November.

The modifications concern primarily the wearing of protective face masks and abolishes certain exemptions. As a result, employees and students must wear protective face coverings in all MU premises, except when they are alone. An exemption applies to lecturers, speakers and teachers conducting an educational activity whose nature does not allow the wearing of protective equipment (e.g. physical education, singing and playing wind instruments), provided that they maintain a distance of at least 1.5 metres from others, and to students who are exercising or singing.

The exemption from wearing protective face coverings applies only to teaching staff or academic staff providing educational activities who have been vaccinated against Covid-19 and at least 14 days have elapsed since the completion of the vaccination schedule according to the vaccine’s summary of product characteristics (SPC).

Due to the deteriorating situation in Brno-město (city) and Brno-venkov (outskirts) districts, the exemption from wearing respirators for groups of up to 30 people seated in a room has been abolished.

Operating and teaching conditions at Masaryk University in the coming days will be governed by a modified green escalation traffic light.

People inside university buildings should behave with respect for others, be considerate and personally responsible.
