Rector cancels all classes in preventative measure due to coronavirus
11.00: Rector of Masaryk University Martin Bareš announced rector´s leave with immediate effect for 14 days. It responded to the current situation regarding the spread of coronavirus infection. Students will not participate in any contact lessons (from 10 to 24 March) in the next 14 days. Teachers can replace it by distance form, where possible.
Also, all events organized by the University are canceled, regardless of the expected numbers of persons. Operation in dormitories, canteens and libraries will be caused by an extraordinary situation so that students do not have to worry about contagion.
The Rector recommended that the Deans adapt the operation at the faculties so that, where possible, the employees remain in the homeoffice regime, while others will go to work.
