Plasma treatment of plastics. Synthesis of carbon nanotubes in r.f. low pressure discharges and atmospheric plasma jets. Characterisation of thin films and surfaces, especially by optical methods, FTIR, XPS. Plasma diagnostics, especially by mass spectrometry, Langmuir probe and optical emission spectroscopy.
