- Environmental analytical chemistry of persistent organic pollutants (dioxin-likePOPs) and other organic pollutants (flame retardants, PAHs and their derivates, volatile organic compounds – BTEX, perfluorinated compounds – PFAS); air, soil, water sampling techniques, sample preparation techniques (extraction methods for both solid and liquid samples, clean-up techniques), chromatographic techniques (preparative LC, GPC, HPLC-MS, GC-MS).
- Internship
- 2008 (5 months) - Institute for Environmental Systems Research, Universität Osnabrück, Germany (local supervisor Elke Fries) – analysis of PAHs in low volume ice and snow samples using automated SPME-GC-MS technique, analysis of volatile compounds (BTEX) in low volume ice and snow samples using automated Purge and Trap-GC-MS technique.
- 2012 (2 months) - Ron Hites’ laboratory, Indiana University, Bloomington, IN, USA (local supervisor Marta Venier) – analysis of brominated flame retardants in precipitation samples using GC-NCI-MS, data analysis of long term temporal trend of PAHs in ambient air in Europe and North America.
- 2014 (4 months) - MTM Research Centre, Örebro Universitet, Örebro, Sweden (local supervisor Bert van Bavel) – development of multiresidue method for analysis of POPs in small amount of blood plasma using GC-HRMS, set-up of large volume injection method, method development for PBDEs and other flame retardants on APGC-MS/MS.
