The aim of the project is to compare localities of limestones deposited on the western part of Brunovistulicum and to determine their affinity to the other Palaeozoic limestones in the eastern part of Brunovistulicum, where more detailed biostratigraphic and facial data are known. Detailed biostratigraphic zonation, based on study of foraminifer and conodont assemblages will be carried out. The sedimentological and microfacial analysis of the limestones will contribute to an interpretation of their sedi mentary environment and paleogeographic position. The 'hot cathode' cathodoluminiscence microscope will be used both for biostratigraphic and microfacial investigations of recrystallised limestones. Intensity and mechanisms of deformation will be studied with rtg-textural analysis. All the localities will be compared together from the biostratigraphic, facial and tectonic point of view and comparison with other Palaeozoic limestones in Moravia will be carried out. Synthesis of these investigations will
