The aim of the project is to study the velocity distribution of seismic waves in the Bohemian Massif from broadband records of regional earthquakes recorded by the Czech National Seismological Network. The network consists of digital stations Průhonice, Kašperské hory, Dobruška/Polom, Nový Kostel, Praha, Vranov, Moravský Beroun, Moravský Krumlov a Velká Javorina. A considerable number of records of regional seismic events was accummulated over decades. A detailed analysis of events from the region of Os trava, Opava and the Jeseníky Mts., Hronov and Western Bohemia as well as from the Alps and Carpathians and mining regions of Kladno, Upper Silesia and Lubin will be carried our. In the frame of the project station Ostrava/Krásné Pole will be upgraded to broadband digital level due to its key position to the regions under investigation. Regional velocities of individual observed seismic phases and their azimuthal dependencies will be derived. Comparison of synthetic and observed broadband seismograms wi
