The EUSOC steering committee will announce a call for abstracts of research papers to the PhD students of the participating organizations. The PhD students will submit their abstracts by 31st January 2010. The panel of professors from partner organizations will choose 16-18 best papers by 15th February 2010. The authors of the selected papers will write and submit full papers by 23rd April 2010 and will be invited to come to the seminar that will be organized by the Masaryk University, Faculty of Social Studies between 13-16 May 2010. The papers will be made available via the Internet to the students selected for the seminar and to 8-9 professors who will come to Telč where the seminar will be organized. The papers will also be accessible on-line to all concerned. Each PhD student selected to come to the seminar will prepare a short review of a fellow student’s paper. Each professor that will come to Telč will prepare a detailed review of two PhD student papers. The students and the professors will meet in Telc (outside Brno) for a two day intensive conference in which each PhD student presentation of a paper will be followed by a short review by a fellow student, a detailed review by a professor, and a discussion. After the seminar the PhD students will enhance their papers and further develop their PhD projects.
The language of abstracts, papers, reviews and the working language of the conference will be English, although the use of native languages among the various national groups of the participants will be possible.
