Navrhovana serie experimentu se zameruje na ulohu kryptochromu v magnetorecepci hmyzu. Projekt kombinuje neuroetologicke experimenty s elektrofyziologickymi prstupy a technikami reverzn funkcn genetiky s cílem prispet ke zrychlujcc se diskusi a narustajccmi poctu novych objevu na poli magnetorecepce
zivocichu. Projekt zahaj elektrofyziologicka meren v stnici a v prilehle nizs vrstve na chryptochrom bohatych bunek s clem overit jejich sensitivitu k mag. poli. V pozitivnm prpade bude analyzovana anatomie navazujcch neuralnch drah zpracovavajcch a integrujcch magnetickou informaci. Soubezne budou provedeny dva diagnosticke testy (pulzy a radiove vlny). V molekularn casti se projekt zabyva funkční analýzou dosud hypotetickych molekularnch komplexu podlejcch se na prjmu a transdukci magnetickeho signalu. Behavioralní testovaní knockoutůu spolu s anatomickou a histologickou analyzou uzavra planovane prace. Využití mokularních metod na hmyzu jako modelového systemu muze vest k zasadnm objevum z oblasti magnetorecepce.
