Projekt s názvem "Budova jako služba" je součástí řešení mezinárodního projektu "Building as a Service", který je navrhován k podpoře v rámci clusteru ITEA2. Účastníci projektu z České republiky se podílí zejména na výzkumu virtualizace mikropočítačů vhodných pro připojení měřících čidel a dalších komponent automatizačních systémů budov.
