The project aims to standardize the Czech version of the Falls-Efficiency Scale-International (FES-I), questionnaire which will include constructive validity and reliability verification. The FES-I questionnaire detects the fear of the falling in ordinary and social activities for the elderly. This research tool has been translated into more than 15 languages and used as a diagnostic tool for geriatric professionals (health care facilities, nursing homes,...) and subsequently as an evaluation tool in scientific studies. By standardizing the Czech version, we would like to introduce this diagnostic tool into practice in the Czech Republic and compare the results of standardization with the original.
