Assessment of Daily Physical Load Indicators and Health Abilities of Special Olympics Participants

The aim of the project is to compare the indicators of health-oriented abilities and movement load or sedentary occupation in people with mental disabilities - MD (Special Olympians), among the results of the weekly regime of the movement relaxation course and a normal day. This is a recurrent comparative survey, which the respondents have already voluntarily participated in (August 2016). Repeated survey of 2017 takes place approx. 45 individuals with MDs in 12 localities in the Czech Republic. It consists of the screening of anthropometric, fitness and lifestyle features (about 30 minutes), as well as weekly monitoring of the movement load by the actigraph system with a recording of activities in the daily protocol. Participants (people with MDs, educators or guardians) will be properly trained and financially motivated.
