The cooperation of the partners on the implementation of the project will involve:
1) analysis of media discourse regarding the phenomenon of migration in selected
European countries, in particular discourse on social media;
(2) preparation of a comparative analysis of discourses in individual countries, showing regional specifics and "pan-European" problems;
(3) a comparison of discourse research methodologies used by researchers from various research centers, an attempt to develop a common standard.
Cooperation will consist of the following tasks:
1) creating a research team working on the analysis of media discourse on migrants
in the country of the Partner,
2) organization of the Research Seminar (accommodation, conference room, meals,
etc),
3) participation in all (4) Research Seminars (RE), the purpose RE is: a. exchange of
knowledge and experiences relating to media discourse research, b. building a research tool used in the Project, c. monitoring of the subsequent stages of the
Project.
4) preparation and ordering of media monitoring (press, television, internet)
regarding migration issues in the Partner's country;
5) analysis of monitoring results (discourse analysis) according to the methodology
agreed upon by the Project Team,
6) preparation and implementation of a qualitative research (2-4 FGI), which will
allow to compare the analysis of the discourse with the interpretations of media
recipients,
7) substantive preparation and participation in the final conference of the Project,
including conference presentations summarizing the Project in the Partner's country,
8) preparation of an article describing the results of the discourse analysis on
migration, which will be a chapter of collective work.
The allotted budget for Masaryk University is PLN 121 700 which is about 729 409.47 CZK.
